Manchester United fans made sure their feelings were heard about Benjamin Sesko after the player’s debut in the Premier League clash against Arsenal at Old Trafford.
Ruben Amorim returned to the Old Trafford dugout on Sunday for the start of the 2025-26 Premier League campaign, following the end of the pre-season tour.
Manchester United travelled to both Europe and the United States across July and August for their pre-season campaign under Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim.
The Red Devils’ pre-season summer tour concluded last weekend after United’s 5-4 penalty shootout win against Fiorentina at Old Trafford ahead of the new season.
United’s 2025-26 Premier League fixture list was revealed in June and the Red Devils will face Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea in their opening five league matches.
Benjamin Sesko was in action against Arsenal in the opening weekend of the new Premier League season and his display caught the eye of Manchester United fans.

Man Utd fans’ reaction to Benjamin Sesko against Arsenal amid the first Premier League match of the 2025-26 season at Old Trafford
Benjamin Sesko was on the bench for the start of the Arsenal match, with Ruben Amorim deploying Mason Mount in a false nine-esque role in the attacking line.
However, Manchester United manager Amorim turned to the 22-year-old Slovenian forward and brought Sesko off the bench in the second half in Sunday’s clash.
Sesko arrived at United from RB Leipzig last week and the former Newcastle target was heavily linked with opponents Arsenal earlier in the summer transfer window.
United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, were baffled at the lack of service that Sesko received and why he didn’t start for United against Arsenal.
One Red Devils supporter wrote: “Give Sesko a chance, someone create for him.”
“If we had started Sesko, this would’ve been a different story,” another United fan said.
A third X user tweeted: “Please create a chance for Sesko.”
Someone else commented: “Sesko has had like [five] touches since coming on… cross the damn ball, guys.”
“Sesko being given 25 minutes is not fair. Man [has] needed at least 45 to properly get settled,” a fifth added.
While a sixth posted: “They barely even pass the ball to Sesko. Is this how we want to play this season?”
And a seventh United supporter suggested: “It’s a shame we didn’t start Sesko.”
“I’ve seen Sesko’s movement off the ball, and it’s impressive. We just need that final pass,” somebody else claimed.

What happened in Man Utd vs Arsenal at Old Trafford on the opening weekend of the new Premier League campaign?
United started well in the opening 10 minutes and were lively in attack, but the Red Devils were stunned after Arsenal broke the deadlock at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Red Devils were exposed from a set-piece and Altay Bayindir found himself under pressure from William Saliba, with the United player flapping at the ball.
Altay Bayindir parried the ball towards the far post and Riccardo Calafiori headed the ball into the back of the United net to put Arsenal 1-0 up in the 13th minute.

United were unable to find the all-important equaliser in the second half and Arsenal walked away from Old Trafford with all three Premier League points.
Riccardo Calafiori’s opener made the difference in the first half and Mikel Arteta’s men maintained their lead over United at the break in the Premier League tie.
United will travel away from home for the first time in the new Premier League season on 24th August, with the Red Devils visiting Craven Cottage to face Fulham.
