Man Utd lost to Arsenal on the opening weekend of the Premier League and the former United captain wasn't happy.
Roy Keane says Manchester United have 'got to do better' after they lost 1-0 to Arsenal on the opening weekend of the Premier League. Ruben Amorim's side were much improved from their performances of last season but still ultimately lost a goal they should have got something from at Old Trafford.
Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo both shone on their competitive debuts for the club but a costly error from Altay Bayindir and some questionable officiating saw Arsenal triumph in a fairly quiet attacking performance. United will look at the positives after a season in which they finished 15th and failed to win a trophy, but it proved to be more of the same for a side that fell short in both boxes.
United will have to show further improvement when they travel to face Fulham next weekend, before they host Burnley at Old Trafford in the final match before the September international break. The performance against Arsenal will count for nothing if they fail to win either of those matches.

Keane delivers brutal verdict
Roy Keane knows all about the standards required to be a success at Manchester United and he still thinks there is work to do after their 1-0 defeat to Arsenal. The new signings looked good in the game but the former United captain believes the full-time result is all that matters on an afternoon when they fell short once again.
"It's an important start for them [Arsenal] with the other teams doing so well over the weekend," Keane told Sky Sports after the match. "It wasn't great in the second half, it lacked quality, especially from Arsenal's point of view, but you take the win on the first day of the season and move on.
"The expectations at United now are so low, that even Gary said on commentary, everyone is OK with a 1-0 defeat. They've got to do better. It does worry me. Some of the new signings, there was encouragement with that. They were getting you up the pitch with a bit of power. Things will improve, it's tough against Arsenal, but no goals and another defeat. There's still problems there with Man United."
Those sentiments were backed up by Gary Neville, who was co-commentator for Sky Sports at Old Trafford. He added: "The Man United players look dejected. They are on the floor but if they keep up this level of performance, which is the big question, they will win a lot of points this season.
"I thought they did a fair few decent things out there but Arsenal were strong, and that set piece in the first half was the big difference in the game."
