Former LSU standout receiver Malik Nabers is dealing with a minor back problem that has kept him off the practice field for 11 days, sources told ESPN on Sunday afternoon.
Multiple sources told ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter of Nabers’ back issue. One source told him it was “normal (training) camp tightness” that is keeping the second-year New York Giants receiver from being able to practice.

Nabers was the 6th overall pick by the Giants in the 2024 draft. He played in 15 games last year as a rookie, starting 14 of them, and delivered for the franchise that selected him so high in the draft. Nabers made the Pro Bowl as a rookie, registering a staggering 109 catches for 1,204 yards and 7 touchdowns. He set the NFL record for most catches by a rookie wide receiver and also set numerous Giants records.
But now, he’s struggling in Year 2 just to get on the practice field, as Nabers tries to duplicate or better what he did in 2024.

Nabers starred at LSU from 2021-23, capping his career in 2023 by being named first-team All-SEC and a unanimous All-American.
He finished his brilliant career in Baton Rouge with 189 catches, including 89 in that dazzling last season, for 3,003 yards and 21 touchdowns, with 14 of the TDs coming in 2023.
