Seattle Seahawks veteran pass rusher Uchenna Nwosu has struggled to stay healthy over the past two seasons, causing him to miss 22 games, including 11 in 2024. He suffered an MCL sprain in the preseason finale, costing him the first four games of 2024. Nwosu returned in Week 5 but then suffered a thigh/quadriceps injury in the same game, which sidelined him for the next seven weeks.
He agreed to a sizeable pay cut to stay in Seattle and also underwent knee surgery.

As a result, he has missed the first four weeks of training camp, including the first two preseason games. Since Week 1 is approaching, many fans were wondering whether Nwosu would return to practice and be ready with three weeks remaining until the Seahawks host the San Francisco 49ers at Lumen Field.

According to Brady Henderson of ESPN,Uchenna Nwosu passed his physical on Sunday. As a result, the Seahawks will soon activate him from the PUP list to the active roster. This allows Nwosu to ease into practice during the ramp-up period, ensuring he has plenty of time to get up to speed before the regular-season opener.
The Seahawks announced that OLB Uchenna Nwosu had passed his physical. That clears the way for him to return to practice. He’s been on PUP since the start of camp while working his way back from offseason knee surgery.
