Man Utd now want to sign £34.5million playmaker with club ready to sell – Report

Lee PSG

Manchester United have had a very good summer transfer window so far. They have focussed almost exclusively on the attacking, bringing in the likes of Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo so far.

All three attackers add something different to Ruben Amorim’s team. One of Man Utd’s biggest issues last season was the lack of goals and a general attacking threat from the forward line and all three names help in this regard.

However, it looks like they are keen on adding some more creativity to the forward line. As per Caught Offside, Man Utd now want to sign talented PSG playmaker Kang-in Lee and bring him to Old Trafford amid interest from Arsenal.

PSG are said to be willing to let the South Korean leave Parc des Princes this summer and the player has been valued at around £34.5million. That isn’t a bad fee for a player of his quality, should Man Utd decide to make a move.

Lee is very versatile and can play as an attacking midfielder, on the left wing, right wing and through the middle as a striker.

At the right fee, he would be the kind of player that can provide squad depth to the previously mentioned marquee attackers.

The 24-year-old is coming off an excellent week for PSG, scoring in the UEFA Super Cup final against Tottenham to spark a comeback for the French side. Lee also managed to slot his penalty, calmly, during the shoot-out.

Man Utd are leaving no stone unturned in their attempt to shift out the likes of Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho and if they manage to move all of them on, signing Kang-in Lee could be important for squad depth.

While not a pressing necessity, the South Korean is a good market opportunity for the Red Devils.

Let’s wait and see if Christopher Vivell & co. make a move to try and sign Kang-in Lee from PSG this summer.
