West Ham United could be one of the Premier League’s busiest clubs before transfer Deadline Day after making the majority of their squad available, including star man Lucas Paqueta.

Graham Potter kicked off the new campaign in the worst possible way. West Ham were thrashed 3-0 by Sunderland in their opening fixture of the season.

Already under pressure, Potter is likely to turn to the transfer window to improve his chances of not being the first manager sacked, and that includes sanctioning outgoings, including for Paqueta.

West Ham want at least £60 million for Lucas Paqueta

This is not the first time Paqueta has been linked with leaving the London Stadium, and although Karen Brady has said Paqueta will be staying at West Ham, according to GiveMeSport, the Hammers would accept an offer of at least £60 million for the Brazilian.

Even though Paqueta’s chances of joining Manchester City appear to be over, an exit before September’s deadline certainly seems possible, especially if a too-good-to-turn-down offer does arrive.

Not only that, but should their valuation be met, the Hammers would make a decent profit after Paqueta joined from Lyon in 2022 for £51 million.

West Ham’s number 10 isn’t the only player reportedly up for grabs, though. These latest reports suggest all but two of Potter’s squad could face being axed before Deadline Day.

Only two West Ham players not for sale

Although West Ham will listen to offers for most of their squad, Potter deems two untouchable.

Regardless of what clubs may approach the Londoners before the transfer window’s deadline, Jarrod Bowen and Aaron Wan-Bissaka won’t be going anywhere.

Potter considers the pair invaluable and crucial to his plans for this season and beyond.

Bowen is without the Hammers’ best attacker, while Wan-Bissaka, who joined from Manchester United last summer, has been arguably the club’s best signing in recent windows.

Proving just how important they are, between them, Bowen and Wan-Bissaka started 69 Premier League games last season.

Clearly viewed as key to the team’s success, any club considering adding the pair to their shortlist are set to be disappointed.
