2. Injury Updates On Tory Horton, Tyrice Knight & Others

Rookie receiver Tory Horton left Friday's preseason game with what Macdonald was calling an ankle injury, "Tory got a little bit of an ankle," he said after the game. "He could've gone back in. We just shut him down. He wanted to go back in. That was my call."

Horton didn't practice Sunday because of that ankle injury.

Asked if it seemed like a serious injury Macdonald said, "Not to my knowledge."

Center Olu Oluwatimi, who's been out of practice with a back injury practiced Sunday.

"He was out here today," Macdonald said. "Not in a heavy capacity, but he was out here today." Macdonald added later, "I'm hoping he practices against Green Bay."

Linebacker Tyrice Knight is dealing with a knee injury and a separate medical issue that has kept him out of practice, with the expectation to be back for the season opener. Macdonald said the outlook on Knight is, "optimistic."

"We're going to get some more information in the next few days, that'll have some more clarity on his situation, but I'd say optimistic."

Kenneth Walker III has been dealing with a foot injury that has kept him out of a few practices throughout training camp, but Walker practiced Sunday and Macdonald expects Walker to practice at joint practice at Green Bay this week. When Walker has been in practice, Macdonald said, "He looks great. He is fast. He is hitting his targets, reading it out pretty well. It's exciting to have him out there. When he has been out there, it's been really good."
