The Washington Mystics won against the Los Angeles Sparks, 95-86 at CareFirst Arena.
Washington shot really well today, making 59.3 percent of their shots and outrebounding the Sparks, 35-14. Let me repeat that rebound total again, 35 to 15. That’s wild.
Sonia Citron had another big time scoring performance, scoring 24 points on 9-of-16 front he field and 5-of-6 from the three points line. Kiki Iriafen added 18 points and 10 rebounds.
The Mystics could have realistically blown out the Sparks, but committed 18 total turnovers which turned into 25 Sparks points. For the Sparks, Dearica Hamby led with 26 points and Kelsey Plum added 25. Rickey Jackson added 17 more. Besides these there, there was hardly any offense rom LA.
