Quarterback Caleb Williams and the Bears starters went through pregame warmups in anticipation of playing against the Bills on Sunday night at Soldier Field.
Head coach Ben Johnson said Friday that he planned on playing his starters but wouldn’t say for how long. It might be their only exhibition work of the preseason — teams typically don’t play their starters in the final preseason game.
The Bears sat out their starters in their first preseason game against the Dolphins.
Earlier this week, Johnson explained what he was looking for from his starters.
“We haven’t been here with this group as a coaching staff,” he said. “That trust has been earning and we’ve been developing that amongst each other. It’s not a one-way street. It goes both ways. I think that’s just another step in the progression. I think it’ll be great for them also.”
The Bears finish the preseason with a game in Kansas City on Friday night.
