It was a familiar Sunday at Caves Valley, with Scottie Scheffler winning the tournament. With that, he becomes the first player since Tiger Woods (2006–07) to win five or more events in back-to-back years.
Scheffler finished the event at 15-under-par, two shots clear of Robert MacIntyre.
The highlight of the day was the birdie on 17. It eased the nerves and secured Scheffler’s spot at the top. A beautifully played shot from the rough that even got Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes reacting, “Scottie is crazy man 😂😂😂😂😂”
After bagging the win, Scheffler walked toward the familiar embrace of his wife, Meredith, who stood near the green with their son, Bennett. His parents were also waiting nearby.
The World No. 1 shared emotional, celebratory moments with his family—a scene that speaks volumes about the love they share. Meredith expressed how proud she was of her husband.

“I played smart off the tee…I knew par wasn’t going to be a bad score on that hole today. And any time you hold a chip like that, it’s pretty nice,” Scheffler expressed about the shot on 17 to Cara Banks of NBC Sports. “It looked good when it landed. It looked good when it was rolling. And it’s nice to see it ongoing.”
Michael Cromie stepped in for Ted Scott, who flew back during the last tournament to attend to some personal family matters.

“Ted’s at home with his family. He’s where he’s supposed to be,” Scheffler continued. “We’re praying for them. His family’s doing all right. Cromie did a great job this week. It’s not easy stepping in and trying to fill in for Ted. Those are some big shoes to fill. But he did a great job.”
“Him and Ted are good buddies. I’m really thankful to have him on the bag this week. It was a lot of fun,” he added.
