Avdija, Israel Lose to Montenegro in EuroBasket Prep

Portland Trail Blazers forward Deni Avdija and Israel’s national team fell to Montenegro 88-76 on Sunday in their final preparation game ahead of FIBA EuroBasket 2025.

The box score shows that Avdija struggled with his shot in the loss. The 6-foot-9 forward produced 12 points, 1o rebounds, and two assists while shooting 5-16 from the field and 0-6 on 3s ([h/t @thebasket13](https://x.com/thebasket13/status/1957117640901861488)).

The loss dropped Avdija and Israel to 3-2 in preparation games for the international basketball tournament, set to run from Aug. 27 to Sept. 14. The team won games against Greece, Cyprus and Georgia, and lost matchups against Estonia and now Montenegro during the warm-up stage. Israel is in Group D for EuroBasket 2025, along with Iceland, France, Slovenia, Poland and Belgium.
