Speaking to the Daily Echo after the game, Scott said the result was “very tough to take”.

“I feel like we played very well and we probably deserved something from the game.”
Liverpool started the game quickly and established an early foothold with a couple of chances in the opening exchanges.
Match report:
But the Cherries settled into the game and started producing chances of their own at 0-0, weathering the early storm.
Asked about how they sought to stem the early flow of chances for the hosts, Scott said: “It was something we spoke about throughout the week and weeks leading up to this.
“Like I said, first game here, obviously the atmosphere we knew was going to be incredible.
“You've just got to deal with that first 10, 15 minutes and try and keep it at 0-0 or maybe nick a goal yourselves.
(Image: Peter Byrne/PA Wire) “I feel like we did that pretty well, grew into the game as it went on. Obviously Antoine came up with some magical moments like he does, but not quite enough in the end.
“It's definitely a positive start for us and we can take that into next week back at home.”
Semenyo netted a brace at Anfield, with two brilliant goals on the counterattack. That came after he had reported racist abuse from a fan in the first half.
Scott said the Ghanaian is ‘unbelievable’.
“He's come on so much since even I was playing with him at Bristol City,” he said.
(Image: Peter Byrne/PA Wire) “We know the talent he has in the squad and he brings us so much off the ball, on the ball as well.
“We're going to need him throughout the season. It's obviously brilliant for the club and everyone involved for him to sign that new contract and we're happy to have him here.
“The way he dealt with what happened in the first half as well and just put that to the back of his mind and come up with that in the second half shows you everything about what he's like as a person and of course we offer our full support.
“He's one of my best friends. So, we've been speaking to him, making sure he's okay and all this stuff. So, yeah, it's just incredible for him really.”
