After a meeting with Chelsea bosses, Pini Zahavi has told Bayern today that Nkunku is likely to stay at Chelsea for at least another year. The proposed move to Bayern is in jeopardy.
Max Eberl, in particular, is fully committed to the signing of Nkunku. He has been negotiating intensively with Chelsea in recent days. Unlike with Woltemade, Eberl is the lead negotiator in the Nkunku deal - and not CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen. Bayern only want Nkunku on loan, while Chelsea prefer a sale. Bayern had high hopes that Zahavi would announce positive news after today’s meeting with Chelsea, but that wasn’t the case. The deal is now seriously jeopardised.
