Reports suggest Arsenal have opened talks to lure Lee Kang-in from PSG before the transfer window slams shut.
Arsenal push for PSG star Lee Kang-in
**Arsenal**’s summer spending spree might not be finished just yet. Head coach Mikel Arteta is still keen to inject more creativity into his midfield.
As per CaughtOffside, the North London side have inquired PSG over the availability of South Korean playmaker Lee Kang-in. The 24-year-old midfielder has often been hailed as a “game-changer.” He has his flair and ability to turn tight matches with a single moment of brilliance.
Meanwhile, the French side value him highly. But, Arsenal believe he could be tempted by the chance to shine in the PL. His deal in Paris runs until 2028. Although, with less minutes the midfielder may be ready for a new challenge.
The Gunners have been closely tracking his situation and are said to have made direct contact with the UCL champions. PSG would prefer to keep the former Valencia ace. Though a strong offer could open the door for transfer talks. With only two weeks left in the window, Arsenal look eager to make their move quickly.

Arteta’s ambition for silverware
Landing Kang-in would be another statement signing for Arteta. He is desperate to end Arsenal’s five-year wait for a major trophy. For the last three successive seasons, the Gunners have finished second in the PL. And they now see depth as the most important factor in getting over the line.
They are planning to add Kang-in to a squad unit that already has Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard. So, Arsenal would have more creative solutions in important fixtures. That said, the potential new signing will be fighting for minutes at the Emirates as well. It will be interesting to see if the North London side make a move for the South Korean this summer.
