Man Utd handed out three competitive debuts as they lost to Arsenal on the opening weekend of the Premier League.
Benjamin Sesko believes Manchester United were 'unlucky' to lose against Arsenal in their opening match of the new Premier League season. The Slovenian striker made his debut from the bench as an improved United side lost 1-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo both caught the eye with lively attacking performances, but a howler from Altay Bayindir proved to be costly as Arsenal scored the only goal of the game from a corner. United had chances to level when Patrick Dorgu rifled an effort against the post, while Cunha and Mbeumo both tested David Raya with decent efforts in the match.
United might also feel they should have had a penalty when Cunha was caught in the box late on, though nothing was given as they fell short at the final whistle. There was plenty of encouragement in the performance, but United know they have to get some points on the board when they face Fulham and Burnley in their next two matches.

Sesko sends message after debut
Ruben Amorim claimed Benjamin Sesko was 'physically ready' to feature for Manchester United against Arsenal but he had to wait until the second-half before he was introduced. The United head coach opted for Matheus Cunha as a false nine from the start, with Bryan Mbeumo and Mason Mount in the two supporting roles.
Sesko was introduced in the 65th minute to replace Mount and although he was lacking match sharpness, he caught the eye with his pace and physical presence in the forward line. The 22-year-old only had seven touches during his cameo appearance and had two efforts that were well off target.
The Slovenian should only improve once he has settled into life at his new club and will hope to earn his first United start when they travel to face Fulham next weekend. Taking to social media after his debut, Sesko sent a message to supporters and claimed his side were 'unlucky' to lose against Arsenal in their opening match of the season.
“Proud to make my debut at Old Trafford, the Theatre of Dreams ❤️🏟️," he wrote. "It wasn’t our day today, a tough and unlucky game, but we will keep pushing forward and giving our best together. This is only the beginning! Come on, Manchester United.”
