At the weekend, Sky Italia reported AS Roma have held positive talks with Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho.
There was a belief the Italian side want to sign the Englishman on an initial loan deal, as there were no concerns about whether the two clubs can reach an agreement over a transfer fee.
Corriere dello Sport today have a different stance and it seems like Jadon Sancho is taking ‘a few more days’ to decide his Manchester United future.
The newspaper note that Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini is desperate to bolster his attack. He personally spoke to the 25-year-old about a transfer, as he explained how Sancho can become a key part of his side and can replicate his form from the golden days at Borussia Dortmund.
Talks are also ongoing between Roma sporting director Frederic Massara and the Manchester United player’s entourage, with parties discussing commissions and wages.
Despite Roma’s best attempts so far, Sancho is waiting to make a final decision. He is yet to give his approval to a move to the Stadio Olimpico and the newspaper believe that he is waiting to explore all the options before confirming a decision.
There is an agreement between Manchester United and the Giallorossi over an initial loan deal with option to buy worth €25m. Due to the player, the move is now taking longer than expected.
