Liverpool man completes medical ahead of transfer exit

Liverpool is on the cusp of yet another player sale this summer as Arne Slot continues his squad overhaul.

There has already been plenty of change at Anfield with the Dutchman showing that there is no space for sentimentality.

Liverpool have recovered roughly £182 million from player sales, headlined by Luis Diaz’s £65.5 million transfer to Bayern Munich and Darwin Nunez’s £46 million move to Al-Hilal.

Further departures, including Jarell Quansah’s £35 million switch to Bayer Leverkusen, Tyler Morton’s £15 million transfer to Lyon, and Caoimhín Kelleher’s £12.5 million sale to Brentford, have helped offset their spending.

And it looks like the Reds are set to net even more this summer.

The Athletic has reported that Ben Doak completed his medical on Sunday and is expected to become a Bournemouth player today:

“Bournemouth are set to sign Ben Doak from Liverpool in a £25million deal.”

“The transfer is expected to go through on Monday after he underwent a medical on Sunday.”

It’s been reported that the Scot has a buy-back clause in his deal to the Cherries.

The 19-year-old is set to generate a substantial profit for Liverpool, having cost just £600,000 in training compensation paid to Celtic in 2022.

The teenager has already earned six senior caps for Scotland and was named in the provisional squad for Euro 2024, only to withdraw through injury.

He made his senior international debut last September, coming off the bench in Scotland’s 3-2 defeat to Poland.

Doak featured in 24 games for Middlesbrough during his loan spell in the 2024/25 Championship season, contributing three goals and seven assists.

The funds received could go to a new winger, with DaveOCKOP.com exclusively revealing last week that the Reds are on the hunt for another winger before the transfer window closes on September 1.
