The Tennessee Titans waived former Auburn defensive tackle Philip Blidi on Sunday.
Blidi signed with the NFL team on May 9 after being passed over during the 2025 draft.
Blidi played 12 defensive snaps in the Titans’ preseason opener – a 29-7 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Aug. 9 – but he did not play on Friday night in Tennessee’s 23-20 preseason victory over the Atlanta Falcons.
Blidi played one season at Auburn. In 2024, the defensive lineman had 21 tackles, one sack and one fumble recovery in 12 games, with seven starts, for the Tigers.
Before coming to Auburn, Blidi play at Texas Tech from 2020 through 2022 and Indiana in 2023.
The Titans have one preseason game remaining – on Friday against the Minnesota Vikings – before kicking off their regular-season schedule against the Denver Broncos on Sept. 7.
