Leeds United are nearing a move for AC Milan’s Noah Okafor, as reported in recent hours, and the transfer could now be finalised ‘in the next few hours’.
Gazzetta dello Sport report that talks between the two clubs are at an advanced stage and the move is going in the right direction.
Leeds United’s interest has come around due to Okafor’s impressive performances during pre-season for Milan, as the player scored four goals. The famous old Italian newspaper shares confidence with others in Italy that this deal will happen and could do so very quickly.
The move is at a decisive stage, with the Rossoneri looking to earn €20m from the versatile forward’s sale.
Personal terms between Okafor and Leeds United are not an issue, as there’s an agreement over a four-year deal.
The Switzerland player’s sale could be useful for Max Allegri’s side, who can then use the money earned to make more signings and potentially land Manchester United’s Rasmus Højlund.
The newspaper report the 25-year-old has been on the transfer list since June, having failed to impress in his loan stint at Napoli during the second-half of the 2024/25 season.
