Leeds United trusted Daniel Farke with the coaching job two years ago. The 49ers were very high on the German boss because of the outstanding work he did getting clubs promoted.
Farke almost earned promotion in his first year, but lost the play-off final. In just his second season, he managed to achieve granges as Leeds hit the 100-point mark in the Championship. The Whites also lifted the Championship on their way.

The past few weeks have seen the Leeds boss call out to the board and ask for more signings before the season kicks off. Farke believes the club do not have enough quality in attack.

Leeds answered him by signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin, an experienced striker at Premier League level. And even with that, the German is not satisfied, with the club set to add a few more names.
Football commentator Ian Darke, who has years of experience covering the Premier League has agreed with Daniel Farke. He said the German’s ‘worry’ about the quality in the Leeds attack is justified. Darke also urged the club’s ownership to bring in more signings before the window closes:
“He has been very vociferous, he is going public at every opportunity, telling the board that they need more attacking signings, so I think he is clearly worried about their ability to stick the ball in the back of the net.” he told MOT Leeds News.
“You would like to think that Leeds will bring in one or two more in that department, because if you cannot stick the ball in the back of the net, that is a pretty big issue if you are trying to stay afloat in the division.”
Darke also emphasizes that Leeds need to cover the absence of Bamford and Joseph.
“They have made it clear that Patrick Bamford is not part of their plans. They have let Mateo Joseph go to Real Mallorca. I would say they need a couple more signings up front, and maybe one fairly big one.”
Has Daniel Farke been backed too much?
Seeing how much money Leeds have spent, and how many players could yet come through the door, Farke has been adequately backed. Some managers at this level do now have access to this kind of resources.
If Daniel Farke does get more signings, then the pressure on him will even more when the season kicks off.
