**Caleb Williams,** Austin Reed and especially Tyson Bagent were the stars of a fun night for the Chicago Bears. Between the three quarterbacks they totaled 357 yards through the air and two touchdown passes, getting 25 pass completions out of 39 attempts. In total, the Illinois team totaled 528 yards, managing to move the chains 31 times on first down; also, they obtained an efficiency of 8/16 on third down and 2/3 on fourth down.
The Bills, on the other hand, were not able to score, not even a field goal. Their time of possession was only 20 minutes and 48 seconds, while the Bears' time of possession was 39 minutes and 12 seconds.

**First quarter**
From the start of the game, the Bears took the field hungry to go out and win the game. The huddle before the game started was motivation for all the players.
**Caleb Williams** was the first quarterback assigned for the game, and after some connections with Colston Loveland and Cole Kmet, the home team was able to slowly get closer to the red zone. On third and five, the sophomore quarterback found Olamide Zaccheaus over the middle for the receiver to then break free from **Damar Hamlin** and into the diagonals.
The early touchdown by the Bears was a bit of a shock for the visitors, and with **Josh Allen** looking on, Mike White took the field to try to respond. The Bills' first offensive series was a failure after committing two false starts; they were forced to punt.
For the Bears' third offensive series, Williams came off the field to give Tyson Bagent the start, and he did not disappoint. The backup moved the chains very well, showing a lot of confidence coming out of the pocket.
**Second quarter**
The second quarter started with the second touchdown for the Bears. After a short carry, Brittain Brown made the score 13-0.
The Bills were having a hard time reacting. After giving the ball back again, Bagent commanded the offense once more to score the third touchdown of the night after finding Tyler Scott in the right corner of the end zone. 21-0.
The Illinois team suffocated the Bills all night long; they did not let them progress, while Bagent and the Bears continued to fool the defense with play actions and carries. On the ground, Chicago scored again to put the score 28 points to zero.

In a cocky attempt, the Bears gave the ball back after failing to advance on fourth down. With five seconds left, Tyler Bass jumped in for at least three points. Unfortunately for them, the kick went wide.
**Third quarter**
Mitch Trubisky replaced Mike White to try to reverse the result against his former team, and the second overall pick of the 2017 Draft did not shake his pulse; he started moving the chains well after connecting several passes and carries with running back Frank Gore, however, they found themselves in the need to return the ball after failing in their fourth down attempt.
The Bears did not forgive; after being in a good position, they were able to score a field goal to extend the score a little more. In an inetno response, Gore fumbled the ball away as the Bills approached the red zone.
**Final quarter**
Austin Reed replaced Bagent for the final quarter of the game; he commanded the offense for one more touchdown on the ground, finishing off a game that was evenly matched until it began.
The Bills also changed quarterbacks, replacing Trubisky with Shane Buechele, but the third quarterback could only complete one pass out of four attempts. The other three were extremely inaccurate.
The Bears took the field once again, and after a nice series of connections between Reed and Walker, Ben Johnson's team took a knee in the opposing red zone.
Chicago showed mercy, but they also showed what they are made of and what they are capable of.
