The Los Angeles Lakers will unveil a statue of Hall of Fame coach Pat Riley during the upcoming NBA season.
The ceremony is set for February 22 at Star Plaza outside Crypto.com Arena, when the Lakers host longtime rivals the Boston Celtics.
Riley coached the Lakers from 1981 to 1990, leading the team to four NBA championships and helping define the Showtime era.
Now president of the Miami Heat, Riley remains one of the most respected figures in basketball history.
The statue will join tributes to other Lakers legends outside the arena.
