Shilo Sanders, Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie safety, has not managed to impress fans or critics in the first two preseason games for the team. Sanders, who is the first son of Deion ‘Coach Prime’ Sanders with second wife, Pilar Sanders, was expected to put on big plays for the Buccaneers, just like he did in his college football career.
However, the first two preseason games have not been too generous with Shilo Sanders and the safety has failed to impress. In the first preseason game against the Tennessee Titans, Sanders managed only one tackle and contributed two in the second game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. His poor performance brought out a reaction from Buccaneers insider Scott Reynolds.

“Sanders looks like a practice squad safety right now and really needs to show up with a big play or two against Buffalo in the preseason finale in order to make his case for inclusion in the 53-man roster,” Scott Reynolds wrote in an article for Pewter Report.
Shilo Sanders and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be soon locking horns with the Buffalo Bills over the upcoming weekend and will be eager to crack this game as well, just like they did with the first two. After the preseason ends, the Buccaneers will be heading on to the regular season to meet the Atlanta Falcons in Week 1.
While Shilo Sanders may not have made a big mark yet, his brother Shedeur Sanders, has been killing it in his rookie season with the Cleveland Browns. Sanders thrashed the Pittsburgh Panthers in his preseason debut, chalking up two touchdowns for his team.
Shilo Sanders Battles It Out For Roster Spot
Shilo Sanders has still not made it to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers roster and fans are keeping their fingers crossed for the young safety. Despite the rookie safety not impressing much in the first two preseason games, there is still hope for Deion Sanders’ son.

As of now, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are without Marcus Banks and JJ Roberts, who is injured. There is one safety spot open in their roster and Shilo Sanders might still have a chance, that is, he manages to impress against Kaevon Merriweather and Rashad Wisdom.
Shilo Sanders and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be soon taking on the Buffalo Bills for their third preseason game. The Buccaneers will be kicking off their first game of the regular season against the Atlanta Falcons.
