What Jack Harrison has done to win Leeds United fans over ahead of Everton clash

Jack Harrison appears to be set on winning over the Leeds United faithful with latest move ahead of Premier League opener.

Harrison’s return to Leeds United this summer has not gone down well with some fans, who were still not happy about his decision to leave on loan following the club’s relegation.

Despite his proven value at Elland Road, including a crucial last-day winner, some fans are going to need some talking round.

Harrison will be looking to prove his worth on the pitch, but for now he has made a gesture that will hopefully warm the fans’ hearts.

The Moot Hall Arms shared a post on Facebook with images of Harrison in the pub.

They confirmed that the winger has left a ‘sizeable donation’ for supporters drinks ahead of tonight’s game, one per customer from 3pm.

It’s a gesture that has been done in the past by departing Leeds United stars, Liam Cooper and Stuart Dallas.

When Leeds United played Manchester United in a pre-season friendly, it was clear that Leeds supporters were still divided over Harrison returning to the club.

In that game against Manchester United, Leeds United fans booed Harrison from the stands. The winger actually started the game to everyone’s surprise, and he’s played regularly throughout the summer as well.

But in the last pre-season friendly against AC Milan, Leeds United supporters were heard booing Harrison once again.

Despite this frosty reception, Daniel Farke has confirmed the squad have welcomed Jack back, and now hopefully supporters will follow suit, especially after this kind gesture.

Jack Harrison’s Premier League highlights at Leeds United

Although some supporters won’t like to admit this, Jack Harrison’s time at Leeds United has featured several standout Premier League performances.

His deflected shot secured a 2-1 victory, keeping Leeds in the top flight at the expense of Burnley.

Harrison also had a man of the match performance in a 4-0 away win against Burnley on May 15, 2021. This was part of a strong first season for him in the Premier League, where he registered eight goals and eight assists.
