NBA 2K26 Introduces Major Updates to The W Mode
2K has officially announced new improvements for NBA 2K26’s The W mode, available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2. The mode offers players an immersive WNBA career journey with several fresh features that enhance gameplay and deepen storytelling.
New this year is the Pre-Draft Interview, where a player’s draft position will be influenced by how they handle questions from the media. This moment sets the tone for rivalries and personal narratives that develop throughout a career.
The game’s social media system also gets a refresh, now including coverage from real-world WNBA journalists like Myles Ehrlich, Terrika Foster-Brasby, and Khristina Williams. As players rise in fame, these voices will react to milestones and performance.
The W mode also introduces GOAT Challenges. After defeating key WNBA stars, players unlock short-term and long-term challenges to collect GOAT points, unlock rewards like Skill Boosts, and climb the all-time rankings.
Press conferences feature authentic voice recordings and new storylines tied to performance, rivalries, and award races, giving players more opportunities to shape their legacy.
For the first time, players can earn VC in The W Online games. With the WNBA fully integrated into MyTEAM, users can now collect WNBA Player, Coach, and Uniform Cards.
NBA 2K26 is developed by Visual Concepts and rated E for Everyone.
