Everton could sign a player that Robert Lewandowski rates very highly this summer.

David Moyes has already brought in six players, with Jack Grealish being the headline addition for the Blues.

The likes of Thierno Barry, Mark Travers and Kieran Dewsbury-Hall have also arrived as the Scotsman looks to breach the top half of the Premier League.

The Friedkin Group are expected to add a few more signings before the transfer deadline to help Moyes achieve that goal, with Leeds up first on Monday evening.

Kiwior could be next Everton addition

Everton still needs reinforcements in defence, and they want to bring Arsenal star Jakub Kiwior to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

A report from Caught Offside on 16 August claimed that the Blues are competing with Crystal Palace and Wolves for the Poland international.

Barcelona star Lewandowski is a huge fan of Kiwior, who made his national team debut against the Netherlands in the UEFA Nations League in November 2022.

Speaking after the contest, he said: “During the warm‑up of the game with the Netherlands, I thought: ‘Who is this guy?’ Then, during the match, I realised that he is extraordinary. Really great potential.”

Who is potential Everton signing Kiwior?

Kiwior is a versatile defender who can feature as a centre-back or a left-back and could be brilliant under Moyes.

The 35-cap international has made 68 appearances for the Gunners, who have constantly competed for the Premier League title in his time in North London.

He was a key member of Poland’s squads for the 2022 World Cup and the 2024 European Championships, and will hope to feature at the 2026 World Cup.

2022: Featured in all four of Poland’s World Cup matches

He is a vital depth piece for Mikel Arteta, but he is understood to want to play a starting role, rather than the back-up one that he currently has.

He is unlikely to start over Gabriel and William Saliba, so a deal may be achievable if he kicks up a fuss over a potential move.

With two weeks left in the transfer window, it may be a difficult deal to pull off.
