With Manchester City having quite a bloated squad, sending some of their youngsters out on loan has been their plan this summer.
As an example, Vitor Reis has joined Girona on loan as City already have six centre-backs on their books in John Stones, Ruben Dias, Abdukodir Khusanov, Josko Gvardiol, Nathan Ake and Manuel Akanji.
Similarly, Max Alleyne will spend the 2025/2026 campaign Watford while Claudio Echeverri’s camp are eager for a loan stint as well.
Pep Guardiola reiterated he wants a smaller squad after Manchester City’s 4-0 win against Wolves and it seems like the club are doing everything possible to fulfil his request.
Sverre Nypan has been linked with a temporary exit away from City as well.

City have devised a plan for the teenager’s loan spell.
The real reason Man City are sending Sverre Nypan on loan to Middlesbrough
Manchester City view Nypan as a first-team signing but as things stand, he lacks the experience to thrive in the Premier League.
However, the Sky Blues are believed to rate the former Rosenborg wonderkid very highly.
Manchester City believe Middlesbrough could aid Nypan’s development as the youngster could adapt to the physicality of English football in the Championship, unlike in another division like La Liga.
