Aston Villa are actively keeping a close watch on the situation of Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, according to [journalist Florian Plettenberg](https://x.com/plettigoal/status/1957411513787957754?s=46&t=c5pT7dnOUaYHDfy_B8N0vA).
Jackson, who joined Chelsea from Villarreal in 2023, has found himself increasingly on the fringes following the arrival of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.
As a result, [Chelsea appear willing to consider offers for Jackson to balance their squad](https://footballtoday.com/2025/08/05/nicolas-jackson-increasingly-likely-to-leave-chelsea/), and the Senegalese is not short of interest.
Newcastle United and Bayern Munich have been linked with a move for Jackson. However, a move to Munich is not expected to materialise with Bayern strongly focused on landing Christopher Nkunku.
Villa are also in the mix for the striker’s signature and remain attentive to developments surrounding his future.
The West Midlands outfit recently parted ways with Jacob Ramsey, so they could look to bolster their offensive ranks before the window shuts.
Jackson’s versatility across the forward line makes him an attractive option, and a move to Villa Park would see him reunite with Unai Emery, under whom Jackson played at Villarreal.
Chelsea have reportedly set an asking price of around £60 million for any interested parties in Jackson, with eight years left on his current contract at Stamford Bridge.
Villa are highly unlikely to be able to afford that amount as they seek to navigate the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.
Jackson was suspended for Chelsea’s opening fixture against Crystal Palace on Sunday, although he could return to the squad for Friday’s derby against West Ham United at the London Stadium.
