“That’s What I Am”: Shedeur Sanders Pulled Into Spotlight As Dillon Gabriel Addresses Rookie…

Shedeur Sanders, Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback, definitely has a lot of haters. Fortunately for him, it looks like there are none of them in the Browns camp, despite rumors going around of tensions between him and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel. Gabriel’s post-game interview after the second preseason matchup against the Eagles was mistaken as a call-out to Sanders and he was immediately condemned for it.

In a following conversation with reporter Mary Kay Cabot, Dillon Gabriel clarified his statements and made sure that everyone knows that there is nothing tense about their relationship. Gabriel also went on to reiterate the importance of teamwork for him and the rest of the Browns.

“There’s entertainers and there’s competitors, and I totally understand that. My job is to compete.” Cleveland Browns quarterback Dillon Gabriel, firstsaid to ESPN after his preseason debut against the Philadelphia Eagles.

“I would never make that, and I’ve said it before. That’s why it’s interesting. But for me, I’ve explained that entertainers are all competitors. That’s what I am, and all my teammates are, and we both have jobs to do. So, that’s it.” Gabriel later clarified to reporter Mary Kay Cabot.

In his preseason debut for the Cleveland Browns, QB Dillon Gabriel managed to complete 13 passes out of 18 attempts, but failed to score for the team. Gabriel’s performance was definitely lackluster in comparison to Shedeur Sanders who chalked up two touchdowns for the team for 139 yards against the Carolina Panthers.

Shedeur Sanders Eager To Be Back After Oblique Injury

Shedeur Sanders was visibly missed in the second preseason game between the Cleveland Browns and the Philadelphia Eagles. Apparently, Deion Sanders’ youngest son injured his oblique during practice last week and thus had to sit out the game. However, Sanders is confident of making a return pretty soon and wants his fans to be on the edge of their seats.

“Don’t lose that energy. Don’t lose that passion. I’ll be back very soon.”Shedeur Sanders said to Cleveland Browns announcer Chris Rose before the second preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Cleveland Browns have been lucky enough to win both their preseason games and will storm into the third matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on a confident note. While both their rookie quarterbacks seem to be doing promisingly in this preseason, it remains to see what their roles will be once the regular season kicks off.
