In the new season, the majority of offensive responsibilities for the Los Angeles Lakers will fall on Luka Doncic and LeBron James.
That makes a lot of sense, but they won’t be the only ones tasked with shooting well for LA.
Rui Hachimura will also contribute.
According to Trevor Lane, he could help out in a huge way.
“Rui Hachimura shot 42% on catch-and-shoot threes last season, ranking in the 89th percentile among forwards. There may be questions about his defense and rebounding (which did improve) but not many forwards punish defenses for leaving him open the way Rui does,” Lane posted on X.

Hachimura just finished his third run with the Lakers, averaging 13.1 points and 5.0 rebounds on 50.9 percent from the field.
For the last couple of offseasons and trade deadlines, there have been rumors of Hachimura possibly moving to another team.
But many fans have cried out, saying he should stick with the Lakers because he could be a vital part of their offensive plans.
They have some issues with his game, including his defensive work.
But Hachimura has huge upside, and he repeatedly shows moments of brilliance on the court.
The Lakers will try to get him even more involved in the new season.
If he continues to play well, they will love every second of it.
Or they could contemplate moving him by the trade deadline.
He could fetch a big haul for the Lakers, or he could remain in the lineup and keep scoring crucial points for them.
Doncic and James might be the biggest names for the team in the new year, but Hachimura will be carrying weight too.
