Roy Keane has revealed his prediction for the top five in this season's Premier League, believing that Liverpool will not retain their title. Keane made headlines during his appearance on Super Sunday for Sky Sports, criticising Manchester United's performance in their defeat to Arsenal despite the general consensus being that the Red Devils had improved exponentially compared to last campaign.
The Irishman has not been shy about being vocal with some of his opinions in the past, and it was no different with his predictions as he made some bold calls involving some of the country's biggest teams.

Keane opted to go for one of his biggest rivals from his playing days as this season's champions, backing Mikel Arteta's men to finally end their run of second-place finishes to claim the crown that they haven't held in over two decades. However, the former Old Trafford captain did then state that if "Liverpool manage to get one more centre-half in, I'll go with Liverpool."
Unsurprisingly, then, it is Arne Slot's Reds that claim second in his rankings following their controversy-filled 4-2 victory over Bournemouth on the opening day of the season. The defending champions have looked shaky at the back this season, both against the Cherries and in the Community Shield. However, a potential new addition at the back, aside from youngster Giovanni Leoni, could help make them more assured.
Manchester City were perhaps the most impressive victors on the opening weekend with a 4-0 drubbing of Wolves, but that is not enough for Keane to believe they will finish any higher than third this time around, the same position they fell to last season. Amazingly, though, the Irishman believes that Newcastle will have enough about them to finish in the top four.
Eddie Howe has only been able to recruit Anthony Elanga, Aaron Ramsdale and now Jacob Ramsey as major additions this summer, while the future of Alexander Isak remains uncertain. And despite an unconvincing performance against Aston Villa, Keane is backing Eddie Howe's men to finish above world champions Chelsea, who he has in fifth.
That means there is no room for Ruben Amorim's United, though Daniel Sturridge did back them to finish in fifth, with Newcastle missing out on his top five.
