Alperen Sengun Takes A Jab At Warriors

The Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors duked it out in the playoffs last season, with the Warriors ultimately coming out on top after seven hard-fought games.

Now, months later, Rockets big man Alperen Sengun is firing a few shots at his rivals.

Speaking about the Warriors, Sengun talked about Golden State’s fouling habits and they’re “crying.”

“They’re a very experienced team, and they fouled a lot. In the playoffs, they don’t call it. But they were the ones crying all series about fouls not being called,” Sengun said, via NBACentral.

Sengun was a massive part of the Rockets last season, averaging 19.1 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 4.9 assists on 49.6 percent.

That was good enough to earn his first All-Star appearance and help his team go to the postseason.

When the playoffs rolled around, Sengun put up 20.9 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 5.3 assists.

He did all he could to move past the Warriors, but that team’s experience and skills were just too much.

He’s obviously not very happy with how things turned out and believes the Warriors were trying to have it both ways.

They were upset about fouls, but then used them to their advantage often.

The Rockets and Warriors will meet in the new season and a rivalry could be brewing between these two teams.

That is especially true now that former Warriors superstar Kevin Durant is suiting up for Houston.

Sengun has a bad taste in his mouth because of the postseason, so will he be able to get his revenge in 2025-26?

And are the Warriors listening to these complaints, ready to come back swinging?
