Report: Nottingham Forest to make big announcement within 48 hours, fans will be buzzing

Nottingham Forest have done some great work during the summer transfer window, with Evangelos Marinakis keen to ensure the squad is well-stocked.

Arnaud Kalimuendo signed for Forest on Monday to make it a remarkable few days in which Nuno Espirito Santo has seen three new players added to the ranks.

Over the weekend, Omari Hutchinson checked in from Ipswich Town and he joined James McAtee in signing for Forest ahead of the new season.

Anthony Elanga signed for Newcastle in the summer but he’s been the only big departure from Forest’s team last season and that is a major positive.

Now, another of Espirito Santo’s star players looks set to pen a new deal to remain at the football club beyond the end of the season.

Callum Hudson-Odoi set to sign new Forest deal

It’s been a solid summer for Forest with Matz Sels, Neco Williams, Ola Aina and Morgan Gibbs-White all extending their City Ground contracts.

Now, according to The Telegraph, Hudson-Odoi will have an extension to his deal announced in the next 48 hours after positive talks came to a conclusion.

The 24-year-old has been a revelation since coming to Forest from Chelsea in 2023 and now, the club will avoid losing him for free at the end of the season.

Forest got Hudson-Odoi for just £3 million and he’s revived his career on Trentside, helping the Reds claim a place in the Europa League last season.

Forest close to 10/10 transfer window

Forest are now on the cusp of a really special summer and more players could see the Reds end the window on a real high and well-equipped for a real assault on another European place.

Getting Hudson-Odoi tied to a new deal has been a priority this summer and clearly, the player has been excited by the level of quality that has come into the club.

With Europa League football on the horizon for Forest this season, it’s vital that the squad is well-stocked but it’s great that the Reds have looked after the current crop too.

Hudson-Odoi was very lively in the first game of the season against Brentford and with the contract announcement imminent, the hope will be that he can kick on even further.
