David Moyes now eyeing forward who wants to ‘be like Cristiano Ronaldo’ for Everton - Journalist

Everton are looking to uncover some gems late on in the transfer window, as an exciting option has emerged on David Moyes’ radar.

The Friedkin Group have taken the approach of looking at young players this window.

Adam Aznou and Thierno Barry look to have a bright future ahead of them, with Moyes looking like the best manager to nurture them.

Everton fans think Braiden Graham has a high ceiling at the club, with the striker having plenty of potential, as the Toffees can also rely on their academy’s produce.

Moyes has the key to unlock these bright prospects at Everton, and now the Scotsman is targeting another one.

Everton want one of the most promising talents from Africa in Adama Bojang

It looks as though The Friedkins are expanding their scouting network to find the right players to be a part of Everton’s future.

Now, Reims striker Adama Bojang is a name that has surfaced, with Guardian journalist Ed Aarons claiming that the Blues and West Ham are battling for the young Gambian, who could leave the French side between £2.5 million and £5 million.

Bojang is said to be one of the more promising talents to come out of Africa in recent years, and showed his credentials in the professional game with a solid loan spell with Swiss side, Grasshoppers.

He’s still a very raw talent, but Moyes wants players with character at Everton, and what Bojang aims to do ticks that box to a tee.

Bojang, who stands at six foot three, is quite similar to Barry in the sense, he’s quick, wins his aerial duels, and is a nuisance for defenders.

Moyes is nurturing Barry carefully, and if Bojang makes the move to Merseyside, he could learn from the Scotsman as well.

The 21-year-old clearly has big aims, and speaking in 2023, “The Gambian Hurricane” spoke to BBC Sport Africa in 2023 about where he sees himself in the future, with only one name on his mind.

“I want to be like Cristiano Ronaldo,” Bojang said.

“Because he’s my favourite when it comes to the big-name players.

“I’ve been watching his videos on YouTube after games. He posts his workout there, so sometimes I try to watch those and motivate myself through that.”

Everton now have the chance to land a big talent, and judging by his aspirations, he’s destined to reach the top.
