Yoane Wissa appears to be furious at Brentford with his dream move to Newcastle United now in doubt.
Brentford want more than £60million for Wissa, who remains keen to leave the west London club for Newcastle this summer.
The situation is somewhat like Alexander Isak’s at Newcastle, although there are some differences.
Indeed, Wissa reportedly feels as if Brentford had agreed to let him leave, whereas that doesn’t seem to be the case with Isak at St James’ Park.
Still, the Bees are ready to keep the DR Congo international at the club this summer unless Newcastle meet their huge valuation.
Their signing of Bournemouth’s Dango Ouattara is to replace Bryan Mbeumo, who of course joined Manchester United earlier this summer.
With a move to Newcastle seemingly blocked for now, the player has reacted angrily on social media.
Yoane Wissa unfollows Brentford on Instagram
Wissa appears to have taken the news badly.
Indeed, the forward has unfollowed Brentford on Instagram, changed his profile photo to a black circle and removed all images of the club from his page.

As per Ben Jacobs on social media platform X, he’s angry that Brentford will not engage in talks over his sale.
Jacobs adds that Wissa believes he was told by Brentford last season that he could leave this summer for a fee of around £26million.

Newcastle United still plan Yoane Wissa talks
Newcastle haven’t given up on their plans to sign Wissa but, clearly, there’s a limit to how high they will go in terms of price.
While the forward would no doubt be a fine addition to the Newcastle United squad, PIF cannot throw too much money at the deal.
Wissa will turn 29 next month. He’s also set to miss a handful of games in January when the Africa Cup of Nations starts.
With only two years left on his deal too (currently one but Brentford have the option of another year), £60million just does not look like value for money.
Brentford are well within their rights to demand such a fee of course, as are Newcastle with Isak.
Still, at some point, the club may need to move on.
