The Chicago Bears may have found a gem on offense.
Rookie wide receiver Luther Burden III had an impressive outing in their preseason win against the Buffalo Bills.
Though it’s just the preseason, it’s becoming quite evident that he’s going to have a role in the offense.
Asked about that, the second-round pick from the 2025 NFL Draft sounded confident about his game.
“I mean, if I get too much space, there is going to be a problem,” Burden said, via Dave BFR.

Burden missed a big chunk of the offseason with an injury.
Then, he was thrown out of practice for some miscues.
But as harsh as head coach Ben Johnson was on him, it looks like it’s because of the high hopes he has.
The Bears want Burden to form a dominant trio with second-year player Rome Odunze, who showed flashes of strong play as a rookie, and veteran D.J. Moore.
The offense should look competent after years of struggles under defensive-minded head coaches Matt Nagy and Matt Eberflus.
Quarterback Caleb Williams looked like a legitimate star against the Bills, which was a welcome turn of events after reports of his training camp struggles.
The team went to great lengths to revamp its offense for the second time in as many offseasons.
This time, however, it looks like the Bears finally have a plan and are trending in the right direction, and Burden has the potential to be one of the biggest steals of the draft.
