The Buffalo Bills locked in their running back for years to come.
James Cook finally put an end to his offseason contract saga, and he will be on the field in Week 1.
Asked about his new contract, Cook opened up about how much it means to him to be around for the long run.
“It means a lot just to be here in Buffalo and stay another four years, and hopefully bring a Super Bowl back to Buffalo. Just by the contract extension, I mean, it always feels good and a blessing,” Cook said, via FOX Sports: NFL.

Last season, Josh Allen posted the most efficient numbers of his career and earned NFL MVP honors while making everybody around him better.
Some of that had to do with coordinator Joe Brady taking over the offense, but Cook also played a huge part in that.
As much as the Bills will always live and die by their quarterback, a team needs to establish the run and find balance on offense to give their stars a chance to be at their best.
Cook has emerged as an explosive player because of his shiftiness and ability to get big gains.
He might not be a bruiser, but he knows how to operate in tight spaces, and he’s been a reliable escape valve for Allen in the passing game.
The Bills should continue to turn to him often this season, and for years to come.
Hopefully, he will be able to keep up the strong play and prove that he was worthy of every penny he was seeking.
