Leicester City have rejected a €32 million bid from Sunderland AFC for Everton target Abdul Fatawu, according to
Diario AS journalist Eduardo Burgos.
The Black Cats want to bring the Ghana international to the Stadium of Light, but they could face competition from Everton, who want him after moving to Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Former Sky Sports journalist and Toffees insider Alan Myers claimed a week ago that Fatawu is on Everton’s list of attacking targets, but Sunderland are the ones to have made a serious move in recent days.

They kicked off their return to the Premier League with an impressive 3-0 victory over West Ham United at home on Saturday, but manager Regis Le Bris still wants more quality additions.
Sunderland have already snapped up Nordi Mukiele, Enzo Le Fee, Habib Diarra, Noah Sadiki, Reinildo Mandava, Chemsdine Talbi, Simon Adingra, Granit Xhaka, Robin Roefs, Marc Guiu, Arthur Masuaku and Omar Alderete so far this summer.
The Black Cats are not done despite their impressive start to the season, and Fatawu could be next in line as Sunderland look to strengthen in attack.
The 21-year-old Leicester star is back in action after a knee injury last November ruled him out for the rest of the 2024-25 season, and he has made two appearances so far this term.
The Foxes want to hold on to him to boost their promotion chances, but a chance to return to the top-flight this month could be on offer at Sunderland or Everton.
Fatawu plays on both wings, and his dribbling, passing, crossing, holding on the ball and playing through balls make him a menace to defenders.
The Black Cats look like favourites in the race for his services right now, and they could return with an improved bid in the coming days to pip the Toffees to him.
