Former Everton winger Jack Harrison was subjected to boos from Leeds United supporters during the first half.
Everton endured a tough first half against newly promoted Leeds United, who came out of the traps flying at Elland Road.
The vociferous crowd made things difficult for David Moyes’ side, as they struggled to get a foothold in the game.
Moyes fielded a team without the likes of Jack Grealish and Thierno Barry, whilst Jarrad Branthwaite’s absence was evident.
However, they got to the half-time level and one of the main talking points was about their former loanee Jack Harrison.

What caused Leeds United fans to boo former Everton loanee Jack Harrison as he warmed up
Harrison has spent the last two seasons on loan at Everton, although, he wasn’t the most popular figure among supporters on Merseyside.
Despite an underwhelming couple of years, Moyes explored a deal to bring Harrison back on a permanent transfer.
That hasn’t materialised, and he’s now been reintegrated into the Leeds squad by manager Daniel Farke, but it doesn’t appear to be going too smoothly.

Harrison was spotted greeting his former Everton teammates on the touchline in the 23rd minute, which the home fans booed.
Everton struggled to contain Leeds United’s press
Moyes’ side were really up against it in the first half and could hardly maintain a spell of possession, as the Leeds press was too much at times.
Branthwaite’s composure was sorely missed, and his ability to play out from the back wasn’t adequately replaced.
James Garner was solid defensively at left-back, but it was a challenge to progress the ball forward on his weaker foot.
It was a clear indicator that Moyes still needs multiple additions before the window slams shut in less than two weeks time.
