Jack Harrison has divided the Leeds United fanbase since returning from his extended spell on loan with Everton.
Harrison spent two seasons on loan at Everton, coinciding with Leeds‘ time in the Championship, which did not go down well with fans.
Indeed, many Leeds supporters booed Harrison during the pre-season friendly against AC Milan, although plenty of those jeers turned to cheers later in the game.
As luck would have it, Leeds and Everton were pitted together on the opening weekend of the Premier League season, with Harrison again receiving a mixed reaction.

Section of Leeds fans not happy with Harrison
As reported by The Athletic’s Beren Cross via X (18 August), there was a lot of applause for Harrison around Elland Road when he warmed up during the first half of the Everton clash on Monday.

However, there were some audible boos, too, with Cross adding that the “fans really didn’t like” Harrison embracing each of the Everton subs as they reunited on the touchline.
That moment went unseen initially, but the Sky Sports commentators did themselves also note the boos that could be heard appeared to be for Harrison.

Does Harrison have a future at Elland Road?
Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of the Everton game, Daniel Farke suggested that Harrison is part of his Leeds plans.
Farke did add, however, that Harrison will need to win over those supporters that were so annoyed by his decision to jump ship – twice – upon Leeds’ relegation from the Premier League.

“Everyone always has a chance with good work and performances. Jack has definitely won all the players and staff back this pre-season,” Farke said.
“He has to win the supporters back, it’s up to him,” the Leeds manager said.
Leeds fans – or a section of them, at least – were clearly not happy with what Harrison did against Everton.
But we all know just how fickle football supporters are, and all it will take is an important moment from Harrison – even an assist – and many of those will instantly be back on his side.
