Mandy Moore is reuniting with This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman for his next TV series, and this one's all about football.

On Monday, Fogelman announced on social media that Moore has been cast in his Hulu drama about the NFL.

"Let's go @mandymooremm," Fogelman said on Instagram. "Rapunzel, then Rebecca, now Lauren. Mandy is about to crush. Again."

"Elated is an understatement," Moore wrote on her Instagram Stories. "Reunited with Dan, Jess, and my 20th [Television] family? Very grateful and can't wait to get to work!"

According to Deadline, who first reported this casting news, Moore will be a series regular opposite Christopher Meloni and William H. Macy in the untitled series set in the NFL. Moore will play Lauren, the daughter and heir apparent of NFL team owner Hank Durkin (Macy). Meloni will play the team’s head coach, Danny Roarke.

Fogelman will once again write and executive produce, along with executive producers Jess Rosenthal, Kevin Falls, David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold, and Jason T. Reed.

This is Fogelman's second series starring a This Is Us alum since the NBC drama ended after six seasons in 2022. His first was Paradise starring Sterling K. Brown, which received four Emmy nominations last month, including for Outstanding Drama Series and Lead Actor in a Drama for Brown, and recently wrapped production on its second season.

Moore starred on This Is Us as Pearson family matriarch Rebecca, while Brown played one of her triplet sons, Randall. Brown won the Emmy for Lead Actor in a Drama in 2017, and was nominated four other times. Meanwhile Moore was nominated once for Lead Actress in a Drama in 2019.

This will be Fogelman and Moore's third time working together after This Is Us and Tangled, for which Fogelman wrote the script.
