The Sacramento Kings have chosen a new head coach for their G League team in Stockton.
A league source told The Sacramento Bee the Kings are giving the job to Will Scott, confirming a report from HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto.
Scott replaces Quinton Crawford, who left the Kings to become an assistant coach with the Portland Trail Blazers after leading Stockton to a 22-12 record last season. Crawford spent one season in Stockton following the departures of Bobby Jackson and Lindsey Harding.
Scott is an Indiana University alum who started his career with the Los Angeles Lakers. He spent eight years with the Lakers, including three seasons as the team’s head video coordinator.
Scott has served the Kings organization in a variety of roles over the past six seasons. He worked as head video coordinator/player development coach in Sacramento from 2019-21. He then served as associate head coach in Stockton from 2021-24 before returning to Sacramento as a coaching assistant/scout in 2024-25.
