Look at it way you wish but Manchester United should have walked away from Old Trafford with three points against their name.

Arsenal were second best for the entire 90 minutes of the game and got very lucky with the only goal that they scored.

However, for the Red Devils, one position that would have been a concern is the goalkeeper role. Altay Bayindir got the nod from Amorim but he should have done better and stayed stronger during the corner from which Arsenal scored last night.

Tom Heaton was the shot-stopper on the bench for Amorim with Andre Onana completely left out of the squad.

It does feel like the Cameroonian shot-stopper’s future at Old Trafford is all but over and with him returning to full fitness, the club can try and secure an exit for him in the coming weeks.

Now, as per Team Talk, Man Utd are confident that Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens will be signed before the transfer deadline.

We covered a story a few weeks ago that the player had given his green light to move to Old Trafford this summer. The 23-year-old has already started the new season with the Belgian side but a move is possible until the transfer window is open for the English club. Antwerp are said to be valuing Lammens at around £13m-£17m.

Lammens is very young and has a lot of talent. He has the potential to play for a top club like Man Utd but the only concern about this move would be whether it is coming a bit too early considering the stage of career that he is in at the moment.

The pressure of wearing the Man Utd jersey and playing at an unforgiving Old Trafford cannot be understated.

Despite coming to the club after an impressive season for Inter Milan, Andre Onana has found it very tough going at the English club.

However, the good thing with Lammens is that Amorim has the luxury of easing him in. With Bayindir and Heaton also at the club as options, the Belgian goalkeeper might be a good choice for Man Utd.

Let’s wait and see how things play out on this front in the coming weeks.
