Competing alongside Stephen Curry is considered an honor by many, but it doesn’t always work out in the long run.
Curry’s former 6-foot-4 Golden State Warriors teammate and G-League star only lasted two seasons with the franchise, but he’s still a member of the NBA in 2025.
On Monday, the Memphis product signed with the Orlando Magic before the start of training camp.
"The Orlando Magic and Lester Quinones have agreed to a deal,” HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto reported Monday. “Quinones will compete for a roster or two-way spot. He averaged 8.6 points in 9 games for the (New Orleans) Pelicans and 21.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.4 steals in the G League last year.”
Quinones wasn’t a game-changer contributor during his two-year stint with the Dubs, but he shot the ball well from deep in 41 regular-season contests.
The Brentwood, New York native finished his Warriors tenure with a 43.2% three-point shooting percentage, enabling him to begin his NBA career with a respectable reputation from long range.

Quinones spent this past season with the Philadelphia 76ers and Pelicans before becoming a free agent this summer.
Although the 2023 G-League Most Improved Player’s perimeter shooting production was disappointing in 2024-25 (31.7%), he’s a good enough slasher and defender to earn an opening night roster spot in Orlando.
