A former Penn State star has suffered another injury, stunting his NFL career.
Adisa Isaac, a standout edge rusher for the Nittany Lions and a 2024 draft pick by the Baltimore Ravens, will undergo surgery to repair ligament damage in his dislocated elbow.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh announced that Isaac will start the 2025 season on injured reserve but could return midway through the campaign.
“If it had been a dislocated elbow clean, it would’ve been about three weeks. Since it’s not, he’s going to have to go undergo surgery,” Harbaugh said. “It’s not a season-ender, though.”
Regardless, it’s another unfortunate setback for Isaac, who was selected by the Ravens with the No. 93 overall pick in the third round last April. Isaac played in only four games as a rookie due to a hamstring injury, logging 32 defensive snaps and making four tackles.
Isaac was a first-team All-Big Ten pick in 2023, capping an impressive career at Penn State. The Brooklyn native led the team with 16 tackles for loss in his final year with the Nittany Lions. Isaac also led the team with 11 TFLs in 2022.
