Green Bay Packers: Rasheed Walker Continues to Bring Intense Energy in Practice, Shakes Up 2025 …

Green Bay Packers offensive tackle Rasheed Walker was once reprimanded by head coach Matt LaFleur for being too physical in practice. The play, which took place during the first week of practice, involves him and pass rusher Kingsley Enagbare who he brought to the ground using an amount of force that is more than what was necessary.

He was punished by LaFleur by making him take a lap but he clarified that it is not much of a big deal.

“I was like, ‘Alright,’ and then he said, ‘Take a lap,’ and I was like, ‘What?’ Because I personally don’t like taking laps, so I was trying to gather my breath and then I saw my teammates running and so I was like, I’ll run with my teammates,” he told reporters.

“I took another one just to get my thoughts together and walked another lap and it was all good.”

Practice went on as usual although the team has been dealing with injuries to multiple players since them. Walker is not changing his approach, and this time he targeted one player that can possibly a competition for the left tackle position.

Rasheed Walker on Anthony Belton’s flags:

“Everybody was saying something to him. I feel like he got the message. I think I just gave him a snack to kind of clear his mind … just eat this clementine, man. Just refocus. It’s all good. And that’s when he had a good second half.”

Belton, the team’s 54th pick in this year’s draft, received plenty of praises from previous practices but he faltered in the last one. Walker is only doing his part to put his mind in the right frame.

Rasheed Walker’s left tackle position isn’t assured?

Walker is vying for the left tackle position with Jordan Morgan and while he is approaching it like it is his for the taking, he said team’s welfare remains the top priority.

“I just come to work every day and go to work,” he said.

“That’s all you can do. I’m a team first guy. I’m with the Green Bay Packers, so shoot, I’m gonna come to work every day, do my job.”

Walker missed some practice last week due to groin injury. This week will be critical for him and Morgan as they could possibly be used simultaneously to man their position.

Packers will have their last pre-season game on Saturday against the Seattle Seahawks.
