Manchester United could explore a move for Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens before the transfer deadline, GIVEMESPORT senior reporter Fabrizio Romano has revealed.
The Old Trafford side are reportedly still interested in the Belgian shot-stopper as a potential solution to their goalkeeping issues and could move for him if they decide to sign a replacement for Altay Bayindir or Andre Onana.
Romano claims United are admirers of Lammens’ talent, having monitored the 'phenomenal' 23-year-old for several months amid their ongoing search for a new goalkeeper.
Lammens, who joined Antwerp from Brugge in the summer of 2023, became the Belgian club’s primary goalkeeper last season, making 44 appearances across all competitions and keeping 10 clean sheets.

Romano, speaking on his YouTube channel, revealed that Man United could end up moving for Lammens if they decide to pursue a new goalkeeper before the deadline:
“A goalkeeper they still like, and I will still keep an eye on, is Senne Lammens, the goalkeeper of Royal Antwerp.
“Very talented goalkeeper. Belgian. May United have been monitoring him for a long time. I told you about this interest already in July, at the beginning of August, and this interest remains.
“I think, if Man United decide from now to the end of the window to invest on a goalkeeper, Lammens is a goalkeeper they like. So it could be a possibility.”
Ruben Amorim made the decision to drop Onana for Bayindir in United’s season opener against Arsenal on Sunday, and it was the Turkey goalkeeper's early error that proved decisive in the Gunners’ 1-0 win at Old Trafford.
While Amorim came to the 27-year-old’s defence after the full-time whistle, the number-one position at United is again under scrutiny, with neither Bayindir nor Onana managing to convince as the primary option.
A move for Lammens would be another gamble, considering the Belgian is only 23 and only emerged as Antwerp’s first-choice last season.
The 23-year-old has started all four of Antwerp’s league games in 2025/26, overseeing three draws and a win, while conceding once in each appearance.
Lammens is under contract until June 2027, having signed a four-year deal upon his arrival from Brugge in the summer of 2023.
