San Antonio Spurs have hired former NBA All-Star Rashard Lewis as a player development coach.
The San Antonio Spurs have added a familiar face to their staff, naming former NBA All-Star Rashard Lewis as a player development coach, according to Michael Scotto.
Lewis, a two-time All-Star and 2013 NBA champion, brings a wealth of experience to the Spurs’ coaching ranks.
Over 16 seasons in the league, he averaged 14.9 points per game while suiting up for the Seattle SuperSonics, Orlando Magic, Washington Wizards, and Miami Heat.
Before joining San Antonio, Lewis had a stint as an assistant coach with the Detroit Pistons, gaining valuable experience on the sidelines.
His addition strengthens the Spurs’ player development program, an area the team has historically emphasized under their long-standing culture of nurturing young talent.
