Manchester City will accept a £70million offer for Savinho after Tottenham have made a move to sign him.

Tottenham are in advanced talks to sign the Brazil international, but Man City are understood to have rejected a £60million offer for his services.

Former Spurs scout Mick Brown told Football Insider Savinho wants to join Tottenham after spending just one season at the Etihad Stadium.

The 21-year-old joined Pep Guardiola’s side in a £30.8million deal from French club Troyes last summer.

Savinho, who missed Man City’s opening-day victory over Wolves through injury, registered three goals and 13 assists in 48 appearances last season.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson said: “Spurs are up to maybe £62.5million with add-ons.

“Surely City would sell at £70million all in. He’s a player who played a lot of football last season and has a lot of qualities, but I think certainly his shooting was very poor.

“His finishing was very poor, but I think he did have the most assists of any City player last season.

“He’s obviously got a lot of potential. I think most City fans would say he’s not worth £70-75million.

“If you get a bid of that nature, then you can understand why you might want to take it, even though he’s just 21.

“He’s got great potential, but it’s a massive fee for a player who flattered to deceive for a lot of last season and apparently most importantly wants to go.”
