West Ham supporters have had plenty of reasons to be frustrated over the summer.
The Hammers’ lack of quality brought in during the summer was brutally apparent as they were defeated 3-0 by Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
Karren Brady has recently made some eyebrow-raising comments regarding the sale of one of their best players in Mohammed Kudus, to their bitter rivals, Tottenham.
Now, Simon Jordan has made some remarks that will be sure to upset the West Ham faithful even further.

Jordan makes bold claim about the Hammers on talkSPORT
Following their poor result over the weekend, Graham Potter has found himself under pressure, with the manager’s future in East London being far from secure.
MORE WEST HAM STORIES
To rub salt in the wounds even further, Jordan claimed that West Ham are only slightly above Brighton when it comes to the pecking order of the Premier League and the pressure that comes with managing the Hammers.
Jordan was critical of how Potter handled the pressure during his spell as Chelsea boss, stating that the English manager couldn’t make the transition from managing a club with “limited” expectations like Brighton to one with “huge” expectations like Chelsea.
“West Ham falls slightly above Brighton,” Jordan said while speaking live talkSPORT on 18 August.
Jordan instantly realised what he said, and added: “I know that the fanbase will get very upset with that, but the expectations of Chelsea are different to the expectations of West Ham.
“[Potter] doesn’t have the same pressure, so I expect him to potentially come through this because he’s a good football manager, but right now whatever he’s doing isn’t working.
West Ham fans have a right to have massive expectations
While Jordan may be right in the sense that West Ham’s expectations aren’t as big as Chelsea’s for now, naturally, they will always be a lot higher than Brighton’s, given the difference in stature between the two clubs.
Ever since the Hammers made the move to the London Stadium back in 2016, their supporters have the right to have lofty expectations.
This move should’ve signified a new era for West Ham, and while David Moyes had Michail Antonio and Co. competing in Europe regularly and even lifting European silverware, they appear to be a million miles off that in their current state.
Although they may not have the squad to compete for a spot in Europe currently, considering the money they have spent, particularly last summer, West Ham should not be in a relegation battle, and that is where they may end up if Potter cannot turn things around.
